The sample pack is filled with sounds, presets, and sampler patches that will help all Drum & Bass producers craft amazing productions filled with unique bass fills, sound effects, drum grooves, and infectious lead synth sounds.
This pack includes single hit sounds which you can insert into any sampler depending on what DAW you use. There are five different types of one-hit sounds: bass, bass multi, drum hits, fx, and synth hits. The bass hits include synthesized bass sounds that have rich harmonics and are perfect for all styles of Drum & Bass or Dubstep. The bass multi folder contains five more categories of sounds, like 808s, piano Reese, rich, sine Reece, and square Reece.
All of these sounds are creatively synthesized and cover a wide spectrum of bass styles. The drum hits include sounds like hats, snares, percussion, kicks, and cymbals, while the fx folder includes transition effects, build up effects, and textural effects, which are my favorites. Finally, the synth options can be used as pads, plucks, lead sounds, electric keys, or even experimental synth lead sounds.
The Signal Tech Drum & Bass pack includes a folder with loops in wav format. You get access to bass, drums, music, and percussion loops. Everything is labelled by tempo and key for your convenience. The music loops are very well crafted and include piano loops, Kyoto synth loops, guitar loops, and even textural pad compositions. All are perfect starting points for your new track.
There are drum loops and one-shots of all kinds. Overall, you have access to 20 drum loops, 20 percussion loops, 20 hi hat loops, 20 top loops, and 10 kick and snare loops. Everything is labeled at 172 BPM, which is ideal for modern Drum & Bass, and the overall quality of the loops is top notch. There are also plenty of one-shot samples in case you wish to put together your own grooves.
If loops are not your thing, there are a plethora of one-shot drum samples, 203 to be exact. These range from hats and cymbals to snares, kicks, and percussion fills. There are also 48 bass hits in this pack, which can work perfectly as fills or sporadic moments that add interest to a drop or be sampled to form the basis of your song.
There are 42 kick one-shots, 34 hats, 79 percussion hits, and 57 snares. Overall, big thumbs up on the drum side of the pack, both in content size and quality. There are also 16 synth one-shots and 24 bass one-shots, which you can insert into any sampler and use to make your melodies and chord progressions. They are either single-note hits or single chords, something that offers a lot more songwriting flexibility.
The drum sounds feel like they came from a vintage analog drum machine and can serve as great skeletons for your songs, leaving you free to create new content to layer on top of them. The percussion loops are on a similar spectrum but much more lofi and 8-bit-like. They can be a creative addition to any song. The pack has a musical loops folder, which includes 50 music loops. They include vintage synth sounds playing catchy melodies, melancholic pads, deep analog basslines, and whacky keys performing full chord progressions.
The pack comes alive once you open the single sounds folder. It includes 51 bass hits, 28 drum hits, 23 perc hits, 24 synth shots, and 11 fx shots. The synth shots are eyrie and chilling, while the bass shots are hard-hitting and are either deep and subby or crunchy and distorted. Overall, you get a great range of sounds to play with.
The pack has 46 drum loops, 18 percussion loops, and 27 top loops. The drum loops are divided into half-time and regular speed samples, something that I really appreciate since you can use them in a variety of different applications. The percussion loops include recordings of bongos and African percussion instruments that add an organic feel to your loops, while the top loops include noise-based drums, organic drums, and half-time loops.
Pack is filled with 25 bass loops, 31 music loops, and six shuffle loops inside this pack. The bass loops range from booming sub-bass-driven loops to complex, FM-style bass sounds that cover the whole frequency spectrum. The shuffle loops are what you expect them to be and can spice up any drum groove you create.
There are 16 bass hits, 41 drum hits, six vocal hits, and 11 pad hits. The vocal hits are heavily processed to add ambiance and atmosphere to any track, while the pad hits range from eery to sinister. The bass hits are similar to the bass loops in their sonic character. Finally, there are 18 sound Fx shots for helping you transition from section to section within your songs or to add drama and character to your productions.
You can also find 13 bass stabs, 43 drum hits, and 33 sound effect hits. The bass stabs are bass one-shots that can shake any room, while there is also a bass multis folder filled with five different bass sounds with samples on each one of the 12 notes of a chromatic scale, which is perfect for sampling.
The drum hits are split into cymbals, hats, kicks, and snares, while the sound effect hits include foley sounds, experimental synth samples, transitional effects, and percussive hits. Overall, a great range of sounds in the sound effects folder.
As for rhythmic elements, there are 27 drum loops, 21 top loops, 12 shuffle percussion loops, 25 kick and snare loops, and 11 percussion loops. The drum loops are the full version of the loop, with each of the other loops (top, percussion, kick & snare) being simplified versions of it in case you wish to layer your percussion or drum samples on top. Finally, 17 effects loops are haunting and spooky, meant to add a grimy atmosphere to your productions.
In the pack, there are 104 drum hits and ten bass multis. The bass multis are ten different bass sounds with one-shot samples for each of the 12 musical notes. These are a great place to start if you wish to craft a new song from scratch with no preconceived ideas.
For melodic elements you get 25 bass loops, six drone loops, and 14 synth loops. The synth loops are not so much melodic but relatively sustained tones of inspiration. They aim to provide a backbone for your track to develop on, with spooky atmospheres, metallic pads, and heavily processed choir samples.
